is the owner and founder of Bergen Bagels, opening the very first location in 1999 after a friend urged him to go into the bagel business. Since then, he’s opened multiple locations across Brooklyn with various partners and built an internationally recognized reputation for creating authentic, New York bagels. Prior to founding Bergen Bagels, Saadi worked as a cook on a Kibbutz in his home country of Israel.
After moving permanently to the states when he met the woman he would become his wife in Brooklyn, he helped a variety of friends and family run their businesses, from car washes to beauty parlors. When he’s not at Bergen Bagels, you can find him visiting his son and baby granddaughter in Florida, his favorite place to spend his time.
